Ease Feelings of Betrayal.

Betrayal and Beyond Group

Dealing with Betrayal.

Betrayal trauma is a deeply painful experience that can shatter trust and leave lasting emotional wounds. Whether you are navigating the discovery of a partner’s sexual addiction or another form of relational betrayal, the pain is real—and the path to healing can feel overwhelming. Betrayal & Beyond is a structured, ten-month group therapy experience designed to provide support, clarity, and meaningful healing in a safe and compassionate environment.

This is group therapy, meaning you are not walking this journey alone. Healing happens in community. Within a confidential, professionally guided setting, you will find validation, shared understanding, and encouragement from others who understand the complexities of betrayal trauma.

This group is for women who are either:

  • Divorced and processing the aftermath of betrayal
  • Actively working toward healing and restoration in their marriage
  • Undecided and seeking clarity about their relationship and next steps

Throughout the program, you will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how betrayal trauma impacts your mind, body, and spirit
  • Identify and recognize symptoms of trauma
  • Learn practical strategies to establish safety and emotional stability
  • Apply proactive tools to manage trauma responses during times of stress
  • Develop consistent and meaningful self-care practices
  • Rebuild trust and emotional health—within yourself and, when appropriate, in your relationship
  • Create a future plan that is informed, intentional, and aligned with your values

Our approach is both biblically grounded and clinically informed, integrating spiritual wisdom with evidence-based therapeutic principles.

Groups are intentionally limited in size to foster safety, trust, and meaningful connection. Once a group is full, it is closed to new members, allowing participants to build consistency and depth over the ten-month journey.

Though betrayal may have turned your world upside down, choosing healing is a courageous first step. You do not have to navigate this alone.

Defining Group Therapy.

There are essentially two different kinds of “Groups” in group therapy. They have different names, but suffice it to say there are Process Groups and Issue/Topic specific groups.

Issue-specific groups often have a predetermined number of fixed session meetings and clear beginning and end dates. However, they can also be done indefinitely with new people entering but with the common goal of completing a specific curriculum. They are focused on one type of issue, i.e. Anxiety, Depression, Anger, etc. A person could start a group after the start date, but that will be up to the Therapist(s) of the group.

Process Groups deal more specifically with the process of growth and making progress in general. Members in the group could vary in life issues, both those they have and those they struggle with; however, they have the common goal of getting through life more productively and healthily than their “norm.” An example would be a “communication group.” Someone in the group might be there to be less blunt, and someone might be there to be more assertive.

What To Expect.

These groups have clear start and entry dates but not end dates. The group's goals are support, safety, vulnerability, honesty, and growth. These groups are powerful because they allow you to encounter life in a caring setting with people who are health-forward-minded. Although the struggles are different, the shared experience of humanness unites us all. These groups do take on a life of their own. It is likely that a person could start a group after the start date and exit when they feel accomplished but that will be up to the Therapist(s) AND group members as to the appropriateness of entry/exit.

Confidentiality in groups is taught and expected but cannot be guaranteed. As therapists, we will hold the group's confidence, but it can't be guaranteed because group members are just regular folks like yourself.
